COA educates, empowers, and engages Black and immigrant youth across Maine to become agents of change in their communities. Through civic education, grassroots organizing, and leadership development, we equip young people with the tools to understand systems of power, advocate for themselves, and shape the future of their neighborhoods and the state.

Too many Black and immigrant families in Maine face systemic barriers and decision-making spaces often exclude those most impacted. COA addresses the lack of power, access, and representation by building leadership and collective organizing capacity within the communities most affected.

This Community Iftar Dinner is a time to gather, connect, and be in community. Given everything our communities have experienced in recent months, this evening offers an opportunity to come together in celebration, reflection, and solidarity. We hope you’ll join us as we share food, conversation, and a collective vision for a stronger, more connected community. This dinner is co-sponsored by Maine People’s Alliance, Community Action Alliance, IFKA Community Services, and Generational Noor.
