Through civic education, grassroots organizing, and leadership development, we equip young people with the tools to understand systems of power, advocate for themselves, and shape the future of their neighborhoods and the state.

Too many Black and immigrant families in Maine face systemic barriers and decision-making spaces often exclude those most impacted. COA addresses the lack of power, access, and representation by building leadership and collective organizing capacity within the communities most affected.

This workshop has been cancelled. We hope to see you at our next Career Discovery event on July 27th! Please stay attuned to our website for more details.

If you are in the Portland, Maine area and are under 30, come join our Resume & Networking Workshop on July 17th from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm to build your resume, strengthen your networking skills, and gain valuable job and internship skills!

You’ll gain tools and resources for your future, the confidence to stand out when applying for jobs, and leave with a completed resume. Please register for the workshop and bring a computer with you if you have one.

Pizza and drinks will be provided, and by joining you will also receive a $50 stipend for your participation!
