Community Iftar Dinner, Hosted by COA/CAA

On March 16, 2026, COA/CAA  in collaboration with community partners gathered with community members for a Community Iftar Dinner on the campus of Bates College.

After months of challenge and uncertainty for many of our neighbors, the evening created space to pause, reflect, and reconnect. We shared food, conversation, and a collective commitment to building a stronger, more connected community rooted in care and solidarity. The dinner was co-sponsored by Maine People’s Alliance, Community Action Alliance, IFKA Community Services, and Generational Noor.

We put effort into nights like this, which serve to remind us that organizing is not only about policy change but about building relationships and fostering a community that will carry us into the future.
